The Senior Manager – Healthcare Digital Business Analysis is responsible for bridging healthcare business objectives with technology solutions by leading business analysis activities across clinical and non-clinical digital initiatives. The role partners with clinicians, physicians, healthcare leaders, business stakeholders, and technology teams to understand clinical workflows, patient and caregiver journeys, and operational requirements, translating them into clear business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, customer journeys, process flows, and solution designs.

This is a hands-on leadership role that leads requirement discovery, business process analysis, and solution definition while working closely with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and user-centric healthcare technology solutions. The role supports the successful delivery of initiatives across EMR (InterSystems TrakCar), patient engagement platforms, hospital operations, enterprise applications, digital channels, interoperability, and system integrations, ensuring solutions align with clinical, operational, and organizational objectives.

Strategic

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with clinical, business, and technology leaders to translate healthcare priorities into digital solutions.
  • Lead business analysis across strategic healthcare initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Define future-state business processes, patient journeys, and digital experiences to improve clinical and operational outcomes.
  • Establish and promote business analysis standards, methodologies, and best practices across healthcare IT initiatives.
  • Provide strategic direction during solution design, ensuring business value, technical feasibility, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive collaboration between business and IT teams to enable successful delivery of healthcare technology solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for digital innovation, process optimization, and automation to enhance patient and caregiver experiences.
  • Mentor Business Analysts (contracctors) and foster excellence in requirements engineering, process modelling, and solution design.

Operational

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborating with business users, Doctors, Nursing, AHP's, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for new systems or enhancements to existing systems. This involves understanding business processes, identifying pain points or inefficiencies, and translating them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Process Analysis: Evaluating Clinical & Digital Patient Journey processes to identify areas for improvement or automation. Senior Manager - Business Analysis analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and propose streamlined processes that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Solution Design: Working closely with technical teams to design appropriate technology solutions that meet business requirements. This involves creating system models, data flow diagrams, and user interface prototypes to communicate the desired functionality and user experience.
  • Data Analysis: Analyzing data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions and requirements. Senior Manager Business Analysis may perform data profiling, data mapping, and data modeling activities to ensure accurate and meaningful information is available for system design and development.
  • Stakeholder Management: Acting as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Senior Manager Business Analysis facilitate discussions, manage expectations, and negotiate priorities to ensure that IT solutions align with business needs.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Collaborating with testing teams to develop test plans, test cases, and perform system testing to ensure that the developed solution meets the specified requirements. Senior Manager Business Analysis also assist in user acceptance testing and support defect resolution.
  • Change Management: Supporting the implementation of new systems or process changes by coordinating training activities, creating user documentation, and providing ongoing support and guidance to end-users.`
  • Training and User Support: Providing training and user support to ensure that business stakeholders and end-users understand and can effectively use the implemented systems. Senior Manager Business Analysis may develop training materials, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing support to address user questions or issues.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the project life-cycle. Senior Manager Business Analysis ensure that requirements, design specifications, test results, and other project-related information are properly documented and organized for future reference and knowledge sharing.

People Management

  • Facilitating Communication: Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that information flows smoothly between different parties, helping to align expectations, clarify requirements, and address any conflicts or misunderstandings that may arise.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with business users, project managers, developers, testers, and other relevant stakeholders. They collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, gain their trust, and obtain buy-in for project objectives and deliverables.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers, designers, architects, quality assurance teams, and other stakeholders. They coordinate activities, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative environment that promotes effective teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • Conflict Resolution: Identifying and addressing conflicts promptly and constructively. They employ strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate dialogue, negotiate resolutions, and ensure that project progress is not impeded.
  • Leadership and Influence: Provide guidance, share expertise, and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and team members. By effectively communicating the business value of proposed solutions and building consensus, influence decision-making and drive project success.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Share their knowledge and experience with junior analysts or team members who require guidance. They may offer mentor-ship, provide feedback, and support professional development to enhance the skills and capabilities of individuals within the project team.

Product / Process Improvement

Education

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum: Bachelor's in medicine, Pharmacy or other clinical discipline

Preferred: Master's in health informatics or any other similar discipline in healthcare

Experience

Minimum: 8 Years of Clinical Informatics or Application Management role with specific focus in managing and delivering EMR applications

Preferred: 10 Years of Clinical role with specific focus in managing and delivering EMR (InterSystems TrakCare) application
