Job Purpose
The jobholder will be responsible to manage and support the COI Head for the organization. The main responsibilities include building and managing Risk & Business models with machine learning and AI capabilities, Credit Portfolio Management, Credit Strategies and Analytics. Will ensure that the credit quality of the portfolio is reflected in the financial results and that the portfolio grows at an acceptable level of risk. Lead the credit strategies and analytics in alignment with the organization's aspirations to grow the portfolio.
Areas of Responsibilities
- Ensures that the strategies and related strategic plans are developed and implemented, which are aligned with the vision and mission of the organization.
- Support in strategic analysis and key indicator creation and monitoring.
- Ensures usage of risk and business scorecards and other tools in decision making within the business.
- Ensures that the portfolio performance is on track by ensuring generating of MIS reports on a periodic basis.
- Provides actionable recommendations on the portfolio trends to suggest discontinuation or amendments.
- Establish and manage the annual portfolios risk indicators, budgets, targets and provisions.
- Provides recommendations on effective campaign management for enhancing portfolio penetration and cross selling and limit management.
- Stimulates subordinates and contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account international best practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Complies with all SAMA Rules and Regulations
- Provide accurate information to Internal Audit, External Audit, Finance, SAMA and the management.
- Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
- Ensures the departmental reports are generated and submitted timely and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
- Support the function and actively contributes in various committees/meetings (internal and external) as applicable and per authority levels in order to ensure relevant matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, proceduresandcontrolstoensureahealthyandsafeworkenvironment
- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed
Qualifications
- 15+ years relevant experience in Retail Banking or Risk Management, Retail Banking Risk MIS, Risk reporting frameworks etc.
- Bachelor's / Master's degree preferred in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, MIS or Business
- Administration, preferably at a postgraduate level
- International certificate in Risk management or Financial Analysis, such as CIRM, CRCM, ICM or CFA
- Experience in building credit risk and related models on different statistical platforms and management of them using decision management applications.
- Experience of dealing with IT departments, including functional requirement definition, models developments and monitoring, retail risk solutions, etc.
