Strengthen and manage Noatum Ports corporate communication function across all international terminals, ensuring consistency, credibility, and aligned messaging globally. Lead the development and execution of the corporate communications strategy encompassing external communications, media relations, internal communications, crisis communication, marketing materials, and content quality assurance — in full compliance with Noatum Ports and AD Ports Group guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development and execution of Noatum Ports corporate communications strategy, ensuring full alignment with Noatum Ports and AD Ports Group guidelines across all markets.
- Oversee and coordinate external communications activities, including media relations, press releases, and corporate announcements, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reputational integrity.
- Manage and govern digital communication channels, including website content and social media, to ensure consistent messaging, brand compliance, and strong corporate visibility.
- Develop, maintain, and regularly review corporate marketing and commercial materials to ensure alignment with approved brand identity and business positioning.
- Establish and enforce communication policies, procedures, and content approval workflows to ensure consistency, governance, and compliance across all terminals.
- Coordinate closely with terminal communication focal points to ensure unified messaging, timely content delivery, and alignment with corporate priorities.
- Lead internal communications initiatives, including leadership messaging, employee engagement campaigns, and the PortCast internal newsletter.
- Design, implement, and maintain crisis communication frameworks and protocols, ensuring organizational preparedness and coordinated response across regions.
- Support key corporate events, exhibitions, campaigns, and sponsorships by providing integrated communication planning and delivery.
- Provide strategic communication support to business objectives through integrated marketing and corporate communication initiatives.
People Management Responsibilities:
- Provide functional leadership and guidance to MarCom focal points across all Noatum Ports terminals, ensuring alignment with corporate communication standards and priorities.
- Coach and support terminal communication representatives to enhance content quality, brand compliance, and consistency across markets.
- Coordinate and facilitate regular alignment sessions and knowledgesharing forums to build communication capability and bestpractice adoption across regions.
- Set clear expectations, timelines, and quality benchmarks for communication inputs received from terminals and stakeholders.
- Act as a central point of coordination for crossfunctional communication initiatives, fostering collaboration between internal teams, regional terminals, and Group Communications.
- Support capability development by identifying skills gaps and recommending training, tools, or guidance to strengthen communication effectiveness across the network.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Develop Noatum Ports corporate communication governance framework, including policies, procedures, and content approval workflows.
- Lead the design and rollout of the Crisis Communication Protocol to ensure organizational readiness across all international regions and terminals.
- Provide strategic communication counsel to senior leadership on messaging, positioning, and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor global communication best practices and recommend innovations to continuously enhance Noatum Ports communication effectiveness.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree or associate Degree (two-year post-secondary qualification) in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
A master's degree or relevant postgraduate qualification in Communications, Corporate Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, or related disciplines is an advantage.
- Equivalent international qualifications (e.g., Higher National Diploma, Foundation Degree, or short cycle higher education) will be considered, supported by relevant professional experience.
- Professional certifications, specialized training, or continuous learning programmes in areas such as corporate communications, media relations, crisis communication, digital communications, branding, or strategic marketing are considered an advantage.
Language Skills:
- Excellent command of English (written and verbal) — mandatory.
Years of Experience:
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, or public relations, with at least 3 years in a senior communication role.
Nature of Experience:
- Proven experience in developing and executing corporate communication strategies for international organizations.
- Strong skills in press release writing, media liaison, and content quality assurance.
- Experience managing internal communications and developing employee engagement content.
- Background in crisis communication planning and protocol development is highly desirable.
- Experience in the ports, logistics, maritime, or infrastructure sector is an advantage.
- Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Manage media relations and secure press coverage aligned to corporate messaging.
- Oversee external agency relationships for PR and communication services.
- Coordinate communication deliverables for global events, exhibitions, and sponsorships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in line with AD Ports Group values.
