About QpiAI
QpiAI is an advanced deep-tech company delivering full-stack Quantum Computing and AI platforms (hardware, software, and QCaaS). As we expand our global footprint across key technology hubs, our Singapore office serves as the strategic anchor for Asia-Pacific. We are building a high-agility, high-impact regional team to integrate QpiAI deeply into Singapore's national quantum initiatives, drive public-private deep-tech partnerships, and facilitate regional market development.
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Head of Singapore & Director of Business Development, the Senior Manager, Government Relations & Strategic Alliances (APAC) will lead QpiAI's public sector strategy, grant acquisition, and ecosystem partnerships across Singapore and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
This is not a traditional sales or key account management role. It is a high-autonomy, 0-to-1 ecosystem building and strategic positioning role designed for a proactive operator. Sitting at the intersection of sovereign tech capability, commercial innovation, and international scientific diplomacy, you will be the key operational interface connecting QpiAI with Singapore's national quantum infrastructure, government funding bodies, university research networks, and regional public sector stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Singapore National Quantum Ecosystem Integration
- Drive deep operational engagement across Singapore's quantum architecture, including the National Quantum Office (NQO), Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT), National Quantum Computing Hub (NQCH), A*STAR, and university research bodies (NUS, NTU, SUTD).
- Identify and execute opportunities to embed QpiAI's hardware, software, and QCaaS capabilities into national testbeds, academic research programs, and public sector pilots.
2. Grant Strategy & Public Funding Execution
- Lead the end-to-end identification, mapping, and application process for non-dilutive government funding, co-innovation grants, and research subsidies across Enterprise Singapore (ESG), Economic Development Board (EDB), IMDA, and NRF.
- Structure complex grant proposals, manage inter-agency reporting, and ensure institutional compliance for awarded programs.
3. Bilateral Tech Diplomacy (India – Singapore)
- Serve as the primary Singapore point of contact for cross-border government-to-government (G2G) and government-to-business (G2B) technology initiatives between India and Singapore.
- Leverage bilateral trade frameworks, joint innovation calls, and diplomatic initiatives to position QpiAI as a core strategic bridge for quantum computing and AI between India and Southeast Asia.
4. Regional Public Sector Expansion (APAC)
- Map and engage government innovation bodies, national research labs, and ICT ministries across target APAC markets, including Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Australia. (More to follow.)
- Identify regional co-funding mechanisms, cross-border research collaborations, and government-backed tech deployment programs.
- Represent QpiAI at premier government and diplomatic platforms. Leverage major industry events like SWITCH, ATxSG, and GITEX to drive government engagement.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 3–6 years of experience within Singapore's government or economic agencies (e.g., EDB, ESG, IMDA, A*STAR, NRF, MFA) or in a Government Relations / Strategic Alliances role within a deep-tech company, research institute, or venture builder.
- Ecosystem Expertise: Working knowledge of Singapore's public sector funding frameworks, grant application workflows, and national research governance.
- Cross-Border Aptitude: Ability to interface confidently with policy makers, research directors, university leadership, and cross-border trade delegations.
- Startup Agility: Highly adaptable, resourceful, and eager to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced regional hub environment—moving seamlessly from high-level strategic alignment to ground-level execution.
- Technical Fluency: Ability to articulate complex technological themes (Quantum + AI) clearly to policy makers and non-technical stakeholders.
