Job Description

Job Title: Senior Manager HRBP – Pan India

Company: Vedantu

Location: Bengaluru

Function: Human Resources – Business Partnering

Reports to: Head of HR

About the Role

Vedantu is looking for a Central HRBP to act as a strategic partner to business leaders across locations, driving people strategy, performance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness at a pan-India level. This role requires someone comfortable operating across multiple business units/regions, balancing central policy consistency with local nuance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business heads/branch leadership across India on workforce planning, org design, and people strategy
  • Drive end-to-end talent lifecycle interventions — onboarding, performance management, career development, and succession planning
  • Own and analyze people metrics (attrition, engagement, hiring funnel health) across regions and translate them into action plans
  • Lead employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes in line with policy
  • Partner with TA on hiring plans, budget vs. actual tracking, and quality-of-hire feedback loops
  • Design and roll out engagement, retention, and culture-building initiatives across a distributed, pan-India workforce
  • Ensure consistent policy implementation while adapting to regional/location-specific requirements
  • Coach and enable people managers on performance conversations, feedback, and team health
  • Partner with COEs (L&D, Comp & Ben, TA) to execute central HR programs at the regional/branch level
  • Track and report HR dashboards to leadership on a regular cadence

Requirements

  • MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent
  • 6–10 years of HRBP experience, with at least 2–3 years handling a pan-India or multi-location remit
  • Prior experience in edtech, EdTech-adjacent, retail, or high-growth startup environments preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management skills — comfortable engaging with business heads, branch managers, and leadership
  • Data-driven approach to HR — comfortable with HR metrics, dashboards, and translating numbers into narrative
  • Willingness to travel across locations as needed
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills

What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)

  • Established strong working relationships with business leaders across key regions
  • Reduced early-attrition/drop-off rates through targeted interventions
  • Streamlined and standardized core HR processes (onboarding, PIP, exits) across locations
  • Delivered a functioning pan-India people dashboard reviewed monthly with leadership
