Senior Manager – Investment Strategy & Portfolio Insights

I'm supporting a highly regarded institutional organisation with the appointment of a senior investment professional to join its strategy and investment function.

This is an interesting opportunity for someone who sits at the intersection of global markets, investment strategy, research and portfolio oversight and enjoys providing senior decision-makers with clear, commercially relevant investment insight.

The role will have broad exposure across asset classes and will involve:

• Developing views on global markets, macroeconomic developments and cross-asset investment themes
• Producing investment research and recommendations for senior leadership
• Assessing emerging opportunities, market trends and strategic investment themes
• Preparing concise investment papers, presentations and executive-level briefings
• Reviewing portfolio performance, financial proposals and strategic initiatives
• Supporting ad-hoc investment analysis and high-priority strategic projects
• Building strong relationships across the institutional investment community, including asset managers and investment banks
• Working closely with senior stakeholders on broader portfolio and investment-related matters

What we're looking for:

• Approximately 8–12 years of relevant experience
• Background across investment strategy, asset allocation, global markets, investment research, institutional investing or a closely related area
• Strong understanding of multiple asset classes and global capital markets
• Ability to convert complex market information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders
• Excellent written, presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience from an asset manager, sovereign investor, pension fund, investment bank, family office or other sophisticated institutional investment environment would be highly relevant
• CFA, MBA or another relevant postgraduate/professional qualification would be advantageous

This is not a traditional deal execution role. The focus is on investment thinking, markets, portfolio insight and providing high-quality advice to senior decision-makers.
