We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, IT and Digital Services in Cairo, Egypt to work with a well-known NGO with worldwide responsibilities for their digital systems and platforms.
Reporting to the Director, Digital and IT and working as a key member of the Global Communications Team and the Digital Transformation Unit, the role will co-lead the organisation's digital transformation efforts, coordinate digital projects, troubleshoot tier 2 technical issues, and manage the Bureau's IT infrastructure.
This position requires a strategic individual capable of driving digital innovation, enhancing digital services, and overseeing the seamless operation of our IT systems within specified budgets and timelines. The role demands a proactive approach to technology management, fostering an environment of continuous digital advancement and transformation.
Responsibilities:
• Co-lead and strategise major digital transformation initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and the seamless integration of new digital technologies.
• Manage the worldwide IT services, focusing on optimising and enhancing our IT infrastructure, cloud services, SaaS, and digital platforms.
• Champion adopting digital solutions that enhance efficiency, data analytics capabilities, and member engagement.
• Manage all strategic aspects of IT operations, including strategic planning, budgeting, and implementing best practices in IT governance and project management.
• Manage all high-level aspects of administering, securing, and optimising our M365 Tenancy, ensuring the effective deployment of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and related cloud services.
• Troubleshoot tier 2 technical support issues and work with external vendors and support systems to resolve more complex issues.
• Strengthen capacity through training and learning initiatives and increase compliance with worldwide IT policies.
• Drive the development and implementation of digital projects, ensuring they deliver value to the organisation and maintain alignment with the overall digital strategy.
• Coordinate the digital upskilling of staff, promoting a culture of digital fluency and innovation across the organisation.
• Facilitate the digital transformation of internal processes, enhancing efficiency, and supporting the organisation's strategic objectives.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation to identify opportunities for digital innovation and to support digital project delivery.
• Ensure the robustness of our IT and digital security, maintaining high standards for data protection, network security, and compliance.
• Provide IT and digital support to staff members of the Arab Support Centre, and other tasks as required by the Regional office.
Job Requirements - Experience, Skills and Qualifications
• Proven experience in leading digital transformation projects, troubleshooting IT issues, and managing IT services at a strategic and operational level.
• Extensive knowledge and expertise in implementing digital solutions, with a strong understanding of current and emerging digital technologies.
• Demonstrable success in managing large-scale IT and digital projects, from conception through to implementation, particularly within an international or non-governmental organization context.
• Advanced skills in strategic planning, digital innovation, and project management, with a relevant degree and professional qualifications.
• Proficiency in managing a diverse technology portfolio, including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and cloud service management.
• Leadership qualities that inspire team collaboration and drive digital change, along with excellent communication skills, to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in English is a must, with Arabic, French, or Spanish a huge plus!
• Excellent communicator, in both written and verbal forms, with highly effective inter-personal skills.
