WHAT'S THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Manager Lighting to lead and oversee lighting production, combining technical excellence with creative vision. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality lighting solutions, while mentoring and developing teams, streamlining workflows and aligning lighting strategies with overall project objectives.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE
- Develop and implement strategies to expand the department's client base and revenue streams.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and services that align with market trends and organisational goals.
- Lead client engagement, proposals and negotiations to secure long-term contracts and projects.
- Oversee the design, planning and execution of innovative lighting solutions for diverse events and productions.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, creative lighting services that consistently exceed client expectations.
- Provide technical direction, guidance and training to maintain the team's industry-leading standards.
- Establish and continuously improve operational standards, workflows and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, regulatory and company policies across lighting operations.
- Implement performance measurement systems to monitor departmental effectiveness and outcomes.
- Direct departmental structure, workforce planning and resource allocation to meet strategic objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture through coaching, performance management, and staff development.
- Manage budgets, forecasts and cost controls to ensure financial efficiency and profitability.
- Handle additional responsibilities as required, maintaining discretion and sound judgement.
- Operate in a fast-paced, project-driven environment, collaborating with internal teams, external vendors, and clients.
- Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining technical and operational excellence.
- Be flexible to work outside standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-site event deployments both locally and internationally.

WHAT YOU NEED IS:
- Diploma in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 57 years professional experience in lighting engineering or technical production management, including at least 5 years in a leadership or senior managerial role.
- Strong expertise in professional lighting system design, operation, and integration.
- Excellent leadership, communication and project management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, emerging technologies and video production best practices.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives.
