Role Description

The Senior Manager (Bengaluru) will be responsible for leading IOD's regional operations, programs, stakeholder engagement, and business development initiatives. The role involves planning and executing events, training programs, workshops, and networking activities, while building relationships with senior executives, government officials, industry leaders, and institutional partners. The Senior Manager will also oversee regional teams, vendors, budgets, member engagement, and performance, coordinate with the Head Office, identify new business and collaboration opportunities, and represent IOD at relevant regional forums and meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with industry associations, chambers of commerce, professional bodies, or business organizations.
• Strong leadership and regional operations management skills, with experience in overseeing teams, events, and programs.
• Proven stakeholder management and business development capabilities, including relationship building with senior executives, industry leaders, and institutional partners.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Board Members, policymakers, industry leaders, and other key stakeholders.
• Sound understanding of corporate governance, boardroom practices, and contemporary business issues; prior experience in professional associations, training organizations, or similar institutions will be an advantage.
• Ability to manage budgets, monitor performance indicators, and implement process improvements to enhance regional effectiveness.
• Experience in planning and executing conferences, workshops, seminars, and networking events, including vendor coordination and event logistics.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
• 10 – 15 years of experience in the relevant field.
• Willingness to work on-site in Bengaluru, travel within the region as required, and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic, and stakeholder-driven work environment.

Salary commensurate with strengths, qualification, and quality knowledge.
