Senior Manager - Ports & Terminal Solutions

The Senior Manager – Ports & Terminal Systems (P&T) is responsible for translating port and terminal business requirements into effective IT solutions, with a strong focus on process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency. The role works closely with business stakeholders to understand challenges, identify improvement opportunities, assess change requests, and prioritize initiatives based on business value and ROI.

The position provides overall leadership for solution design and delivery, including resource allocation, coordination with internal teams and external partners, project monitoring, testing oversight, and implementation. It ensures that solutions are delivered to the required quality standards, meet business expectations, and are aligned with the overall technology roadmap and budget.

The role also focuses on developing team capabilities in business domain knowledge, technology, and project management, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across the organization. In addition, the Senior Manager ensures compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity, information security policies, and applicable UAE regional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate the respective domain business requirements into IT terms by studying the business process with a view of streamlining and automating them.
• Maintains continual dialogue with key users in the business units to overcome the bottlenecks and weaknesses in current suite of IT applications.
• Perform impact analysis on change request and advise pros & cons to the business.
• Conduct monthly meeting with business to prioritize the demands based on ROI
• Perform high-level design and lead the development team to deliver IT Solution.
• Allocate the appropriate resources and also to coordinate with outsource partner to ensure that the applications are developed as per the user requirement with high-quality standard.
• Monitor & review the project progress and produce regular reports to respective stakeholders.
• Develop and motivate subordinates to learn the business domain and project management skills.
• Co-ordinate with IT testing team to prepare the test scenarios and ensure that the functional and system testing is conducted prior to implement in UAT.
• Participate in preparing IT budget to establish project road map.
• Ensure compliance to IT policy in terms of implementation and monitoring of information security management in your department in line with the UAE region ISR policy.
