Role Overview:
Senior Manager - Pre-Sales & Bid Management – will play a strategic role in supporting the leadership team in interpreting complex tenders, translating technical requirements into actionable business insights and driving the end-to-end bid management process.
The role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, commercial understanding, proposal writing expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to maximize the organization's success rate in competitive bidding.
Key Responsibility Areas:
1. Bid and Tender Management
· Identify, monitor, and evaluate bid opportunities across Broadcast Services, Sports Broadcasting, Media Technology, Systems Integration, Private and Public Undertaking, Sports Federations and Broadcasters.
· Establish and manage subscriptions to relevant tender intelligence platforms, procurement portals, industry databases, and market intelligence agencies to ensure comprehensive coverage of bidding opportunities.
· Track opportunities published through GeM, CPP Portal, Ministry portals, Sports Authorities, Broadcasters, and other public and private procurement channels.
· Maintain a structured bid pipeline and provide leadership with regular updates on upcoming tenders, market trends, and strategic opportunities.
2. Technical Interpretation & Bid Strategy
· Analyze tender documents, technical specifications, compliance matrices, eligibility criteria, commercial conditions, and contractual obligations.
· Translate complex technical requirements into simplified business insights, enabling leadership to make informed bid/no-bid and investment decisions.
· Break down customer requirements into technical, commercial, operational, and compliance workstreams and coordinate internal stakeholders accordingly.
· Maintain and continuously enhance a centralized repository of technical content, proposal templates, case studies, certifications, compliance documents, and best practices.
3. Techno-Commercial Evaluation
· Conduct detailed technical, commercial, contractual, and risk assessments of tender documents.
· Identify bid risks, deviations, assumptions, and contractual obligations, and recommend mitigation strategies to leadership.
· Collaborate with Engineering, Broadcast Operations, System Integration, Finance, Procurement, Legal, OEMs, and Delivery teams to develop technically robust and commercially competitive solutions.
4. Stakeholder Management & Compliance
· Develop strong working relationships with Government departments, broadcasters, sports bodies, consultants, OEMs, technology partners, and key stakeholders to strengthen the Company's market positioning.
· Work closely with the Leadership Team to provide technical and commercial clarity on strategic opportunities and support bid qualification decisions.
· Track procurement trends, technology advancements, competitor positioning, and industry developments within the Broadcast, Sports Tech, Media, and System Integration sectors.
· Ensure complete compliance with customer specifications, tender conditions, statutory requirements, and procurement regulations.
Ideal candidate will have:
· Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or equivalent).
· A Management Degree (MBA/PGDM) will be an added advantage.
· 10 years of experience in Pre-Sales, Bid Management, Proposal Management, or Techno-Commercial functions within Broadcast, Media Technology, Sports Broadcasting, System Integration, ICT, or Government projects.
· 2 years of working in mid-management level position in any respected Systems Integration or High-tech company dealing in multi-million-dollar RFPs
· Experience using tender intelligence platforms and market research tools to identify and track new business opportunities.
