We are looking to hire a Senior Manager – Strategic Commercial Contracts who will be responsible for overseeing and managing high-value, complex commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and effective risk mitigation for our client based in Dubai, one of the leading semi-government organizations in the region.
This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 8 months and is renewable. The role sits within the Commercial function and reports directly to the Head of Commercial Contracts and Governance.
We are looking for a commercially astute and strategic Senior Manager with strong experience in contract management, negotiation, governance, and commercial tendering. You should possess the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments while driving contract performance and compliance across large-scale, high-value agreements.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic contract management processes and frameworks
- Manage the full lifecycle of strategic commercial contracts, including renewals, amendments, and terminations
- Support the negotiation and execution of high-value, complex contracts (e.g., concession agreements, partnerships, and service agreements exceeding AED 600M)
- Ensure all contracts align with organizational objectives, governance frameworks, and risk management policies
- Support tendering activities by preparing and reviewing contract documentation and commercial terms
- Partner with senior leadership, legal, and cross-functional teams to provide expert contractual advice and guidance
- Act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external commercial partners
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks through proactive management and regular audits
- Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with agreed deliverables and obligations
- Resolve contractual issues and disputes in a timely and commercially effective manner
- Maintain accurate contract documentation and prepare reports on performance, risks, and strategic insights for senior management
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, or a related field
- 5–7+ years of overall experience, with at least 3–5 years in strategic contract management or commercial roles
- Strong experience in contract negotiation, administration, and governance frameworks
- Exposure to commercial tendering and procurement processes
- Industry experience within aviation or related sectors is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of local laws, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership
- Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office tools
