This individual will be part of the management team leading our Investment and Transaction Advisory practice in the delivery of high-quality services to top-tier public and private sector clients in our practice by bringing his/her advisory expertise to the team. He/she shall provide expertise in project preparation, business case development, investment decisions, market sounding, PPP and JV commercial structures and broader commercial exposure to large Infrastructure projects. This will be in a wide variety of sectors including social infrastructure, transportation (including airports, railway, roads and ports), waste to energy, and water and wastewater.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to practice strategy, service line development and go-to-market.
  • Engage with government bodies, regulators, and private-sector stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop our pipeline of qualifying infrastructure projects, including shaping opportunities pre-procurement.
  • Provide advisory support across the full project lifecycle, including strategy development, business case preparation, commercial structuring, and, where required, post–commercial-close support.
  • Coordinate the development of pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, value-for-money analysis, public-private comparators, risk assessment and mitigation matrices, procurement models and evaluation criteria.
  • Oversee technical due diligence and combine with commercial due diligence for investment committees contemplating an infrastructure investment.
  • Translate technical and sector engineering depth into board- and ministry-ready strategic narrative Represent WSP in discussions and negotiations with key stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in Advisory services, Property & Building, Transport and Infrastructure, and Project Management Services business units — convening and leading multidisciplinary delivery.
  • Manage project economics, including collections, work-in-progress (WIP) status, revenue forecasting, invoicing, and related financial oversight
  • Supervise the performance of junior team members, providing clear directions and regular monitoring and feedback on performance.
  • Ensure the on-going learning and development of junior team members

Qualifications


  • B.Sc. degree in accounting and finance, economics, engineering, management, policy or a related field.
  • A professional qualification (MBA and/or CFA) or similar study is preferred.
  • Infrastructure advisory experience with a minimum of 8 years in the field.
  • Relevant experience in providing Investment & Transaction Advisory services, either in a PPP / JV transaction context or in an Infrastructure M&A context. Experience in the Strategy & Transactions or Deals service lines at the Big Four or similar consultancies is preferred.
  • Substantial experience in more than one subsector of infrastructure covering more than one region geographically.
  • Track record of leading projects to reach commercial and/or financial close.
  • Recognized by peers and/or managers for providing high quality, pragmatic advice to clients on infrastructure PPPs and/or Infrastructure M&A.
  • Client focus and commitment to results.
  • High level written and oral presentation skills in English. Arabic skills valuable but not mandatory.
