What will you do:
As a Transformational Senior Manager, you will oversee the design, implementation, and execution of high-impact change initiatives across the retail organisation.
This role requires a strategic thinker and results-driven leader with expertise in retail operations, digital transformation, and change management. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that optimise business performance, align with market trends, and meet customer expectation.
This role combines deep understanding retail and technical acumen to redefine the retail environment, creating value through innovative IT solutions, data-driven decision-making, and optimised customer engagement.
The role focuses on driving key projects that development, implementation, and continuous improvement of best practices, processes, and tools across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Thinking:
- Define and execute a comprehensive transformation roadmap aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, operational improvement, and enhanced customer experience.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritise and manage transformation initiatives.
2. Operational Excellence
- Optimise supply chain, inventory management, and store operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement data-driven decision-making practices to enhance retail performance.
3. Change Management
- Develop and execute change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Communicate transformation goals effectively to all levels of the organisation and manage resistance to change.
4. Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver transformation projects on time and within budget.
- Coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
5. Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of transformation initiatives.
- Provide regular progress updates and recommendations to the executive team.
6. Innovation and Best Practices:
- Research and deploy emerging technologies and innovative solutions to enhance retail operations.
- Develop and document best practices to optimise efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Technical Competencies:
- Understanding of Retail Technology Platforms
- Data Analytics and Business Intelligence
- Agile and Project Management Methodologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Excel, Powerpoint, word
- Understanding of customer-centric IT innovations and data analytics
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities
- Proficiency in process optimisation, and performance measurement tools
- Understanding of inventory and stock processes
Qualification, Experience & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in project /program management or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a senior capacity. Proven track record of managing large-scale transformation initiatives in retail or related industries.
- Certifications in Project Management, Agile, or related disciplines are a plus.
