Senior Manager - Transport Management

Black & Grey HR is hiring for a leading construction and contracting company in the UAE that delivers large-scale commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager - Transport Management to oversee the entire fleet and bus transport operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading large teams, ensure operational efficiency, and managing logistics for a workforce of thousands across multiple project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the entire transport and fleet department, including supervisors, drivers, and maintenance staff.
• Oversee the daily mobilization of the workforce, ensuring the timely and safe transportation of staff to and from project sites across the UAE.
• Develop and implement strategic transport plans to optimize route efficiency, reduce operational costs, and minimize downtime.
• Manage the full lifecycle of the bus fleet, including preventive maintenance schedules, accident management, vehicle registration, and insurance.
• Ensure 100% compliance with UAE traffic laws, RTA regulations, and company safety protocols.
• Monitor and analyze transport KPIs (e.g., fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, on-time performance, accident rates) and implement corrective actions.
• Manage the transport budget, including fuel, maintenance, leasing, and staffing costs.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to forecast transport requirements based on project manpower needs.
• Lead crisis management and emergency response related to transport accidents or breakdowns.
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors, including bus manufacturers, spare parts suppliers, and service centers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in transport and fleet management.
• Extensive experience specifically in bus transport management for a large workforce
• Experience in the UAE/GCC region, with deep knowledge of local traffic laws and RTA regulations.
• Strong experience in transport safety management, incident investigation, and driver training.
• Excellent crisis management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation, budget management, and cost-control abilities.
