What we are looking for:
Lead the maintenance, installation, qualification, and continuous improvement of semiconductor test equipment and supporting hardware. The role is responsible for ensuring robust tester performance, production readiness, technical documentation, and timely support for manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities
Evaluate, propose, and co-develop test hardware to ensure reliable and production-ready tester configurations.
Establish tester hardware qualification and buyoff procedures for mass production.
Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and preventive maintenance of internally developed testers.
Maintain accurate records of tester installations, upgrades, technical notices, maintenance activities, and inventory.
Develop solutions and improvement programs to enhance tester reliability, performance, and availability.
Provide technical troubleshooting and support to manufacturing sites.
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures and technical documentation.
Support tester installations, issue resolution, and technical training at external test factories.
Coordinate tester-related improvement projects with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
Skills you will need:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
At least 7 years of relevant experience in a semiconductor test or wafer probe environment.
Strong knowledge of PCB hardware, schematics and circuit troubleshooting with RF experience preferred
Experience setting up laboratory test instruments and evaluating PCB and test-equipment suppliers.
Experience with industry-standard automated test handlers.
Working knowledge of Linux commands and programming or scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and manufacturing quality systems.
Experience developing and implementing equipment or process improvements.
Familiarity with quality procedures, technical documentation, and change-control practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, project coordination, and documentation skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to support multiple manufacturing priorities.
Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites for equipment installation, troubleshooting, and training.
Preferred Qualifications
Soldering and hardware rework skills with knowledge of IPC workmanship standards.
Project management experience.
