About the Role
To lead geophysical data processing, interpretation and reporting for Side Scan Sonar, Sub-Bottom Profiler and seabed hazard assessment projects, supporting offshore operations and client deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Side Scan Sonar and Sub-Bottom Profiler datasets.
- Interpret seabed features, hazards, debris and shallow geology.
- Prepare route assessments, anomaly lists and charts.
- Review third-party survey reports and identify technical non-conformities.
- Support offshore acquisition team with technical troubleshooting and survey planning.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, company procedures and HSE requirements; promote safe systems of work and stop unsafe activities.
- Support tenders, methodology and client meetings.
- Support offshore acquisition teams and survey planning.
Qualifications
1.Education
- Degree in Geophysics, Geology, Marine Science or related field
2.Professional Experience
- 8+ years marine geophysics
- Experience in site seabed debris survey and pipeline route survey
- SSS/SBP interpretation expertise
3.Geographic
Offshore Middle East experience
4.Computer
- SonarWiz, Kingdom, IHS, GIS, AutoCAD or equivalent
