Senior Marine Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Undertake structural design work, provide technical support to project design teams, and manage projects or assigned work packages.
• Perform detailed engineering design, including computer-based structural analysis.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and all necessary documentation for ports and marine-related projects.
• Deliver tender design packages, including basis of design, technical specifications, and tender design drawings.
• Analyze and design viewing platforms utilizing timber pile foundations in accordance with client requirements.
• Analyze and design a wide range of marine structures, including quay walls, jetties, berthing dolphins, and mooring dolphins.
• Develop and contribute to R&D initiatives for innovative structural and marine engineering solutions.
• Support bid preparation and business development activities with technical inputs.
• Prepare designs in coordination with other discipline engineers, as required.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable engineering standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Lead and support design reviews by incorporating required parameters and technical comments.
• Analyze technical reports and prepare comprehensive design reports at all project stages, supported by calculations and technical analyses.
• Identify workplace hazards and risks in coordination with QHSE personnel.
• Ensure correct design approaches in accordance with QA/QC procedures and standards.
• Stay up to date with industry knowledge and best practices, and contribute to knowledge management to enhance the company's engineering capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Preferably Civil, Structural, Coastal), or equivalent
• Minimum 08 years of experience of Engineering & Design, in related industries
• Experience in dredging and civil marine projects is highly preferred
