Senior Masterplanning Lead / Senior Urban Designer

We're currently partnering with a highly regarded multidisciplinary design consultancy in Dubai to appoint a Senior Masterplanning Lead who will play a pivotal role in shaping both the studio's design output and future growth.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished Masterplanner with extensive Middle East experience and a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale urban developments. Working closely with the Studio Principal, you'll provide strategic design leadership, support business development, mentor multidisciplinary teams and lead projects from early visioning through to authority approvals.

The successful candidate will bring both exceptional design capability and the commercial credibility to represent the business with clients, partners and stakeholders across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of major masterplanning and urban design projects across the Middle East.
• Support strategic business development activities, including reviewing RFPs, developing technical methodologies and contributing to winning proposals.
• Provide design leadership and mentorship across the studio, ensuring projects maintain the highest technical and creative standards.
• Manage senior client relationships, facilitate design workshops and lead key project presentations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Guide projects through regional planning processes and authority approvals, ensuring compliance with local regulations and development frameworks.

About You

You'll be an experienced Masterplanner or Senior Urban Designer with:

• Extensive experience delivering large-scale masterplanning projects across the Middle East.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating projects from concept creation through to detailed design and authority approval.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and mentoring junior professionals.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• A strong understanding of regional planning regulations, urban design principles and development strategies.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to balance design excellence with programme, budget and client objectives.
