Role Description The Senior Mechanical BIM Engineer (Shop Drawing) is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo, responsible for leading mechanical BIM workflows and production of detailed shop drawings. Day-to-day tasks include developing and coordinating mechanical BIM models, preparing accurate and compliant shop drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, and ensuring alignment with project specifications, codes, and standards. The role involves reviewing design drawings, identifying clashes, proposing technical solutions, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers, and site teams. The engineer will support construction by issuing revisions, as-built drawings, and documentation, while maintaining model integrity, version control, and consistent data structures. Additional responsibilities include mentoring junior BIM and mechanical engineers, supporting quality assurance processes, and contributing to continuous improvement of BIM standards and workflows.

#Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

- (10–15) years of experience in BIM and MEP projects.

- Strong experience in Revit MEP.

- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, and ACC.

- Practical experience in preparing and reviewing Mechanical Shop Drawings.

- Experience in BIM coordination and clash detection.

- Good understanding of mechanical systems and construction requirements.

- Ability to develop accurate mechanical BIM models and coordinated shop drawings.
