Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

-Technically competent and able to use engineering judgment independently to determine solutions.

-Prepare Design Drawings and calculations.

-Apply new ideas/digital ideas to improve solutions and processes to improve efficiency.

-Able to work as a reliable and proactive member of the team, able to apply knowledge gained.

-Able to work on several projects and to communicate clearly with a range of people, including making presentations.

-Flexible and enthusiastic; team player.

-Conversant with MS Office tools, AutoCAD, and Revit.

-Experience of working in a design consultancy is a must.

-A sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application in (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting) and pumping stations.

-Experience in producing design calculations of mechanical systems for (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting).

-Familiar with working to design national and international codes as well as standards appropriate for the HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting industry.

-Ability to produce hydraulic calculations for mechanical equipment, equipment datasheets/specifications, and schedules.

-Should be conversant with various (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting) mechanical equipment.

-Pipe and Duct sizing calculations, pump sizing calculations, tank calculations, cooling loads calculations, and static pressure calculations.

-General Arrangement drawings for piping and mechanical equipment. Isometric drawings. PIDs, PFDs, etc.

Job Requirements:

-Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in (HVAC, Fire Protection & Plumbing).

-From 5 to 10 years experience in the same position.

-In-depth knowledge of software or calculation tools.

-Organizational skills, such as time and resource planning.

-Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and problem-solve effectively.
