We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (Fire & Plumbing) to join our team and play a key role in delivering robust, well-coordinated building systems. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical knowledge with a practical, solution-oriented mindset, and who enjoys collaborating across disciplines to turn complex design challenges into efficient, high-performing systems across a range of project types.
Qualifications:
- 4 to 10 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Good computer skills, proficient with MS office, CAD and REVIT applications.
- Familiarity with plumbing and firefighting design software (Elite) and simulation software (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Familiarity with F&P standards, codes, and regulations (IPC, NFPA, etc.) UAE and SBC are an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills in Arabic and English are a must
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on technical specification review and resolution.
- Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between/within the firm and client.
- Lead the design and engineering of plumbing and firefighting systems for large-scale projects.
- Perform detailed calculations and simulations to ensure system efficiency, reliability, and compliance with local and international codes.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering teams to integrate plumbing and firefighting systems with building designs.
- Ensure all plumbing and firefighting systems comply with local and international codes, regulations, and standards (NFPA, NFPA 13, ASHRAE, BS standards, local fire codes, IPC).
- Perform hydraulic calculations and pressure flow analysis to ensure the design meets project requirements and compliance standards.
- Design water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems (sprinklers, pumps, tanks, and hydrants) to ensure safety and functionality.
- Prepare and submit project reports, design documents, and other relevant paperwork as needed (BODR, BOQ, SPCS).
