Parsons is looking for a visionary
Senior Mechanical Engineer to spearhead the design and integration of advanced mechanical systems for our prestigious project in Tabuk, KSA. you will be designing modular, high-efficiency mechanical infrastructure for a vertical city that operates with 100% renewable energy and zero carbon emissions.
What You'll Be Doing
- You will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical lifecyclefrom complex district cooling and automated waste collection to high-performance HVAC systemsensuring they meet the unprecedented sustainability and density requirements of this 170km-long cognitive city.
- System Design & Strategy: Lead the engineering of large-scale mechanical systems, including District Cooling Plants (DCPs), water treatment integration, and complex smoke management systems for subterranean and high-rise environments.
- Sustainability Innovation: Implement cutting-edge Net Zero strategies, utilizing heat recovery, passive cooling, and smart building AI to minimize energy consumption.
- Technical Oversight: Manage the mechanical design process across various project phases, ensuring compliance with NEOM's specific Building Codes and international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA).
- Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Work closely with the BIM and Interface teams to ensure mechanical services are seamlessly integrated within the narrow, high-density modules of THE LINE.
- Contractor Management: Oversee technical submittals, conduct site inspections, and provide expert engineering judgment to resolve field issues during the construction of mega-infrastructure packages.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, specifically on mega-projects (high-rise, tunnels, or large-scale infrastructure).
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. .
- Specialized Knowledge: Deep expertise in district energy systems, modular construction, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling for ventilation.
- Tools: Proficiency in Revit (BIM), Carrier HAP, or IES Virtual Environment.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and communicate complex mechanical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a high-pressure environment.
