Role Description
Develop coordinated shop drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems based on IFC and tender drawings.
Coordinate mechanical drawings with architectural, structural, and electrical trades to avoid conflicts.
Ensure drawings reflect accurate routing, levels, clearances, material specifications, and installation methods.
Prepare detailed sections, isometric diagrams, and schematic layouts as required.
Implement design revisions and feedback from consultants in a timely and documented manner.
Assist in clash detection using BIM tools (Navisworks/Revit) and update drawings accordingly.
Submit drawings for consultant approval and follow up on comments and re-submissions.
Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC), and local codes.
Prepare as-built drawings post-installation.
Work closely with procurement and site execution teams to support technical decision
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
Experience: 8-12 years of experience in mechanical shop drawing preparation and design
Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems design and execution
Familiar with international and local codes: ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, IMC
Computer Skills: Very Good
Languages: Very Good
Programming: Proficient inAutoCAD MEP And Revit IS Mandatory
