Job Summary:
The Senior Mechanical Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems on-site. This role ensures that all mechanical work is executed according to project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise mechanical works on-site including HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and other mechanical systems.
• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project documents.
• Ensure all mechanical activities are executed in line with approved shop drawings and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other disciplines (civil, electrical, etc.) for smooth workflow.
• Manage and lead the mechanical site team including engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure proper installation.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards on-site.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Identify and resolve technical issues or delays on-site.
• Support procurement team in selecting and verifying mechanical materials and equipment.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in mechanical site supervision, preferably in large-scale projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Familiarity with local and international codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA).
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
