Senior Mechanical Site Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior Mechanical Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems on-site. This role ensures that all mechanical work is executed according to project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise mechanical works on-site including HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and other mechanical systems.

Review and interpret mechanical drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project documents.

Ensure all mechanical activities are executed in line with approved shop drawings and project requirements.

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other disciplines (civil, electrical, etc.) for smooth workflow.

Manage and lead the mechanical site team including engineers, supervisors, and technicians.

Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure proper installation.

Oversee testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.

Ensure adherence to health and safety standards on-site.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

Identify and resolve technical issues or delays on-site.

Support procurement team in selecting and verifying mechanical materials and equipment.

Participate in project meetings and provide technical input.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 7+ years of experience in mechanical site supervision, preferably in large-scale projects.

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Familiarity with local and international codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA).

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively.

Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
