Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Tender Engineer specializing in HVAC and Firefighting systems. In this role, you will lead the tendering process from study to submission, ensuring accurate cost estimations, competitive pricing, and high-quality technical proposals for diverse commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Study & Analysis: Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, project specifications, and contract conditions to identify the scope of work and potential risks.
- Quantity Take-off: Perform precise quantity take-offs (QTO) for all HVAC and Firefighting systems from tender drawings.
- Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination: Send inquiries to suppliers and subcontractors, review and evaluate their technical/commercial offers, and negotiate to secure the best prices.
- Pricing & Costing: Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, unit rates, and final price estimation sheets (including direct and indirect costs).
- Technical & Commercial Proposals: Prepare, compile, and package comprehensive technical and commercial bid submissions in compliance with client requirements.
- Value Engineering: Propose alternative, cost-effective solutions and value engineering proposals without compromising quality or design integrity.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all pricing and proposals align with local and international standards (such as NFPA, ASHRAE, and SMACNA).
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience:7 to 10 years of proven experience in MEP Tendering & Estimation, with a strong focus on HVAC and Firefighting systems.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems (Chilled water, DX, VRF, ventilation) and Firefighting systems (Sprinklers, clean agent, fire pumps).
- Excellent understanding of international codes (NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.) and contract conditions.
