Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior MEP Engineer to manage, review, and supervise all MEP activities across our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical integrity, quality, and compliance of all MEP design and site activities, ensuring seamless coordination throughout all project stages.

This role requires a highly experienced professional capable of managing multidisciplinary teams, conducting rigorous design reviews, and performing comprehensive site inspections to secure full adherence to project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, review, and validate all MEP design drawings, technical reports, load calculations, specifications, and shop drawings, with emphasis on electrical systems.
  • Conduct systematic site inspections to ensure MEP installations align with approved designs, safety standards, and statutory guidelines.
  • Provide authoritative technical guidance on electrical systems, including LV/MV distribution, lighting, grounding, earthing, and low-current systems.
  • Lead coordination efforts between MEP disciplines and other project stakeholders, including architecture, structure, and contractors, to ensure integrated and conflict-free designs.
  • Monitor and evaluate material submittals, method statements, and testing and commissioning procedures, and ensure conformity to project requirements.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Prepare and issue professional documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs, snag lists, and follow up on corrective measures.
  • Contribute to the development of accurate BOQs, cost estimates, and project budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Ensure all MEP works comply with local authority regulations, international codes, and best engineering practices.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry advancements, and innovative engineering solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (strongly preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in MEP engineering, design review, and site supervision.
  • Proven expertise in electrical systems with a solid understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in oversight of MEP installations on large-scale or complex projects.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and strong knowledge of local authority regulations and international standards.
