The Senior MEP Engineer will provide broader technical and operational supervision over both the Electrical and Mechanical Sections within the Maintenance Department. This position is required to support the Head of Maintenance in managing daily engineering operations, coordinating between disciplines and ensuring proper follow-up on all MEP-related works.
The scope of this position will include, but will not be limited to:
- Electrical systems, panels, lighting, power distribution and generators.
- Mechanical systems, HVAC, pumps, plumbing and drainage.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Contractor and service-provider performance.
- Technical shutdowns, inspections and major breakdown follow-up.
- Work-order monitoring, backlog control and technical reporting.
- Support in reviewing technical offers, quotations, method statements and material requests.
The recommended candidate profile is as follows:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Strong experience in preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and technical reporting.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in MEP maintenance and facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical building systems.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary maintenance teams and contractors.
- Ability to monitor SLAs, KPIs, contractor performance and work-order closure.
- Strong coordination, leadership and communication skills.
- Previous experience in large facilities such as universities, hospitals, hotels, malls, airports or similar complex operations is preferred.
- Certified IFMA, CFM or any relevant facility management courses are a plus.
At this stage, I recommend proceeding with these two senior engineering positions as a priority. The Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will focus on the university's mechanical systems, while the Senior MEP Engineer will provide wider supervision and coordination over the Electrical and Mechanical Sections.
Considering the operational importance of the university's MEP systems and the current shortage in the engineering team, your support is kindly requested to proceed with the recruitment and approval process.
