We are seeking a Senior Metadata Specialized Modeler to lead the design, management, and enforcement of enterprise metadata standards across the bank's data ecosystem. This role plays a critical part in enabling data trust, quality, governance, and reuse across both operational and analytical domains.
Key Responsibilities- Define and maintain the enterprise metadata model and metadata standards across all data environments.
- Manage metadata tools and platforms to ensure accurate, complete, and real-time metadata coverage.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data modelers, architects, and business users to gather, validate, and document metadata.
- Establish automated metadata harvesting, data lineage tracking, and impact analysis processes.
- Govern metadata tagging across all data layers (raw, curated, semantic, and BI/reporting).
- Ensure metadata accessibility through data catalogs, APIs, and search interfaces.
- Support regulatory, audit, and data governance reporting through comprehensive metadata views.
- Maintain privileged access to metadata repositories, glossaries, and lineage tools.
- Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (CBE, AML, banking laws).
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
- 58 years of experience in metadata management, data architecture, or data governance.
Technical Skills- Strong knowledge of metadata frameworks, data lineage, and data catalogs.
- Hands-on experience with metadata management tools (e.g., Informatica EDC, Alation, etc.).
- Familiarity with SQL, data warehousing concepts, big data environments, and semantic modeling.
Soft Skills- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
