About the Role :
As a Senior Mission Systems Integration Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering integrated avionics, software, and networking solutions that provide decisive operational advantage. You will lead the integration of complex mission systems that manage tactical, navigation, and sensor data—enabling advanced combat, intelligence, surveillance, and special mission capabilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan, coordinate, and execute mission systems integration activities, including hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) testing, lab integration, and space‑to‑ground / air‑to‑air compatibility validation.
- Develop integration and verification test procedures; perform system-level testing to validate performance, interoperability, and mission readiness.
- Translate operational and customer requirements into clear technical specifications, decomposing system-level requirements into subsystem and component-level requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and control Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for internal and external system interfaces.
- Lead and participate in technical reviews such as Design Readiness Reviews (DRR) and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
- Manage Discrepancy Reports (DRs), root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Define and refine Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and support mission scenario simulations and operational analysis.
- Support fielded systems, post‑deployment activities, and operational troubleshooting as required.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, program management, and customers to identify technical risks, conduct trade studies, and drive system readiness.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers and integration teams.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in systems engineering and system integration, ideally within the aerospace and defense environment.
- Hands-on experience with mission systems, avionics integration, sensors, datalinks, or weapons system interfaces.
- Proficiency with MBSE tools such as IBM DOORS, PTC Integrity Modeller, Cameo Systems Modeler, or equivalent.
- Experience using simulation tools and scripting/automation to support integration, testing, or analysis.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured, methodical debugging approach.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interface effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets, planning tools, and basic project tracking systems.
