Title: Senior Network and Security Engineer
Location : Dubai - onsite
Duration : 6 month contract
Notice Period: Immediate joiner or up to 30 days
Key Requirements:
Architecture Assessment & Current-State Analysis
- Assess existing telecom network and security architecture across core, aggregation, edge, and customer-facing environments.
- Perform detailed as-is analysis covering routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and service interconnections.
- Review carrier-grade infrastructure, including MPLS, IP backbone, LTE/5G transport, and inter-operator connectivity.
- Identify architectural gaps, risks, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
- Strong Network Troubleshooting skills to handle high pressure problems and resolve it timely.
Data Discovery & Dependency Mapping
- Conduct comprehensive data discovery for telecom entities and their enterprise/business clients.
- Identify:
- IP addressing schemes and subnet allocations
- Firewall policies, NAT rules, and VPN tunnels
- Application flows, ports, and protocols
- Customer-to-core and customer-to-customer dependencies
- Permitter infrastructure.
- IPSEC VPN Build
- Roaming Profiles.
- Corporate network
- Retail Network
- Call center network
- Document traffic patterns, service dependencies, and critical paths.
- Classify workloads based on business criticality, SLA, and regulatory requirements.
Design Build and Migration Planning
- Prepare end-to-end migration strategy aligned with telecom operational standards.
- Payment Gateways
- Permitter infrastructure.
- IPSEC VPN Build
- Roaming Profiles.
- Corporate network
- Retail Network
- Call center network
- Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) for target-state architecture.
- Create detailed migration runbooks, including:
- Pre-migration checks
- Cutover strategy (phased / wave-based)
- Rollback and fallback procedures
- Risk and impact analysis
Migration Execution
- Execute migrations within telecom entities and their business clients with minimal service disruption.
- Lead PA firewall, VPN, and routing migrations across:
- Palo Alto, FortiGate, Cisco, and Juniper platforms
- Enterprise and carrier-grade environments
- Coordinate with:
- Telecom NOC/SOC teams
- Enterprise customer IT teams
- Vendors, ISPs, and third-party partners
- Ensure strict adherence to change management, CAB approvals, and maintenance windows.
Validation & Post-Migration Support
- Perform post-migration validation, including connectivity, security policy verification, and performance testing.
- Support business clients during stabilization and hyper care periods.
- Address post-migration issues, fine-tune policies, and optimize performance.
- Update documentation, diagrams, and operational SOPs.
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Ensure migrations comply with telecom regulations, security standards, and customer SLAs.
- Conduct security audits and compliance checks post-migration.
- Provide regular status reporting to stakeholders and senior management
