Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure for a government client in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security across LAN, WAN, and network security environments.
This role requires strong expertise in Juniper networking, FortiGate firewalls, VPN technologies, and F5 load balancers, along with solid troubleshooting and network optimization capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable network solutions aligned with organizational requirements.
- Configure and maintain enterprise routers and switches (primarily Juniper), ensuring efficient routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP).
- Manage and administer FortiGate firewalls, including security policies, NAT rules, and VPN configurations.
- Deploy and maintain F5 BIG-IP load balancers for high availability, SSL offloading, and traffic optimization.
- Monitor and optimize network performance using tools such as SolarWinds and PRTG.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues using packet analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
- Plan and execute capacity upgrades and bandwidth optimization strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and change management logs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering.
- Strong expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and Layer 2/3 networking technologies.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Juniper networking devices.
- Proven experience managing Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and VPN solutions.
- Solid experience with F5 BIG-IP load balancers.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and packet-level analysis expertise.
- Experience with network automation tools (Python, Ansible) is an added advantage.
Preferred Certifications
- Cisco CCNP or CCIE
- Juniper JNCIP or JNCIE
- Fortinet NSE 4 or higher
- F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (F5-CA)
- Vendor-neutral certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+)
- Fortinet certifications (NSE1, NSE2, NSE3)
