Role overview
We are seeking a senior F5 Network Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert for application delivery in enterprise and data center environments. This hands-on role centers on F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM, platform migrations and TMOS upgrades, with the expectation of contributing at full capacity from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Configure and manage F5 BIG-IP LTM, including virtual servers, pools, iRules, profiles and TLS/SSL offloading
- Administer F5 BIG-IP GTM (DNS), including Wide IPs and global traffic distribution
- Plan and execute F5 platform migrations across hardware and virtual editions
- Lead TMOS upgrades with pre/post validation, rollback planning and minimal-downtime cutovers
- Manage L4–L7 traffic and support underlying L2/L3 networking (VLANs, OSPF, BGP)
- Support secure connectivity involving IPsec
- Support APM and ASM/Advanced WAF configurations as needed
- Document changes and communicate technical plans clearly to engineering and business stakeholders
Required qualifications
- F5 BIG-IP LTM: virtual servers, pools, iRules, profiles and TLS/SSL offloading
- F5 BIG-IP GTM: DNS and Wide IPs
- F5 platform migrations (hardware and virtual editions) and TMOS upgrades, including pre/post validation, rollback planning and minimal-downtime cutovers
- Ability to work as a subject matter expert from day one, without a ramp-up period
Preferred qualifications
- 10+ years in networking, with hands-on F5 experience in enterprise and data center environments
- IPsec, L4–L7 traffic management, and L2/L3 (VLANs, OSPF, BGP)
- APM and ASM/Advanced WAF
