Job Description

We are partnering with a leading UAE government ministry in the energy and infrastructure sector to hire a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer. to support and enhance their mission-critical technology landscape.

Our confidential client is a prestigious federal entity driving large-scale national projects, and this role offers the chance to work on complex, high-impact network environments

Job Purpose:

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing the Ministry's network infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity across all sites. The role requires a proactive and technically skilled engineer capable of supporting mission-critical systems, maintaining compliance with UAE federal cybersecurity standards, and driving innovation in the Ministry's digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess and design network infrastructure improvements for scalability, reliability, and performance.

- Install, configure, and manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure.

- Monitor network performance using SNMP, NetFlow, and OPManager tools ensuring uptime 99.9%.

- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, performance, and security issues.

- Implement network security measures aligned with ISO 27001 and UAE Cybersecurity frameworks.

- Lead migration projects including SD-WAN and cloud-based networking.

- Maintain documentation for network configurations, performance reports, and incident logs.

- Assist in planning and executing IT infrastructure projects with defined budgets and timelines.

Qualifications and Certifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent (mandatory).

- Preferred: CCIE, JNCIP, CISSP, AWS Advanced Networking or Azure Network Engineer Associate.

Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise-level network design and management.

- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Aruba solutions.

- Hands-on experience integrating cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, FedNet).

Technical Skills:

- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS, VPNs, and QoS.

- Expertise in firewall management, load balancing, and network access control.

- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, OPManager, PRTG, Nagios).

- Knowledge of automation tools (Python, Ansible) is an advantage.

Soft Skills:

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English required, Arabic a plus).

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

- Attention to detail and strong time management.

Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Network uptime 99.9%.

- SLA compliance for incident response and resolution.

- Zero critical security breaches.

- Timely completion of project deliverables.

- Positive stakeholder feedback.

Additional Requirements:

- On-site presence at MOEI facilities.

- Adherence to confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.

- Successful background verification and security clearance.
