Job Definition/Summary
Responsible for providing High-level support and implementation of security solutions within an organization's infrastructure.
Overseeing the execution and delivery, troubleshooting incidents, optimizing performance, and ensuring the network and systems are protected from potential vulnerabilities.
This role requires advanced expertise in security technologies and hands-on experience in resolving complex technical challenges.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
Security Solution Implementation
- Configure, and deployment of complex security systems, including next-generation firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and encryption technologies.
- Oversee the integration of security solutions within the existing network infrastructure, applying best practices and security frameworks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex security incidents, working with senior teams and vendors to ensure timely resolution.
System Optimization & Maintenance
- Regularly analyze and optimize security system performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
Customer Communication & Relationship Management
- Serve as the point of escalation for client-facing issues, managing complex technical queries and delivering solutions.
- Assist with preparing reports on security incidents and improvements, delivering clear, actionable recommendations to clients.
Team Mentoring
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, sharing technical expertise and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to provide input on security decisions, ensuring alignment on projects and goals.
Continuous Improvement & Learning
- Stay up-to-date with emerging security technologies and threats, ensuring ongoing professional development.
- Participate in industry conferences, webinars, and advanced certifications.
Documentation & Reporting
- Produce and review high-level documentation, configuration guides, and post-deployment reports.
- Maintain security incident logs, security policies, and configuration records.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network security domain.
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with Network Security technologies, including IPS, Internet Proxy, Malware Sandboxing, WAF, NDR, Network Packet Capture, Email Security, VPN, and Firewall Rule Analysis.
- Experience with Endpoint Security and EDR solutions.
- Familiarity with Data Security technologies, including DLP, Data Classification, and Database Activity Monitoring (DAM).
- Knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, Vulnerability Assessment, and User Behavior Analytics (UBA/UEBA) solutions.
- Familiarity with Application and API Security technologies is an advantage.
Certifications
- Cisco CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, F5 301/302, Fortinet NSE 5/6/7, or equivalent security controls certifications.
