Senior Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

Position open to SAUDI Nationals only.

The Senior Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and securing enterprise and large-scale network security infrastructures. The role focuses on next-generation firewalls, network segmentation, threat prevention, and security best practices across complex environments. The engineer will act as a technical lead, provide expert-level troubleshooting, and support security architecture decisions.

Required Experience

•   Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering

•   Strong practical experience with Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet firewalls

•   Proven experience in enterprise or mission-critical environments

•   Experience working in high-availability, large-scale networks

•   Experience in security operations, incident response, and change management

Key Responsibilities

•   Design, deploy, and manage firewall solutions using Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet platforms

•   Implement security policies, access control, NAT, VPN, and threat prevention features

•   Perform firewall migrations, upgrades, and technology refresh projects

•   Design and maintain secure network segmentation using VRF, VLAN, and zone-based policies

•   Configure and manage site-to-site and remote access VPN solutions

•   Monitor security events and perform advanced troubleshooting for security incidents

•   Conduct risk assessments and recommend security improvements

•   Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and best practices

•   Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers

•   Prepare technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures

•   Coordinate with network, systems, and application teams for secure integrations

•   Support audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments

Technical Skills

•   Expert-level knowledge of firewall architecture and next-generation security features

•   Strong understanding of routing and switching fundamentals

•   Experience with IPS, IDS, URL filtering, malware protection, and SSL inspection

•   Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and network protocols

•   Familiarity with SIEM integration and security monitoring tools

•   Experience with data center and campus security designs

•   Knowledge of cloud security integration is a plus

Certifications (Mandatory)

•   CCIE (Security or equivalent)

•   Fortinet NSE Level 5 to 7

•   Palo Alto Networks Certified (PCNSE or equivalent)

Preferred Experience

•   Experience in airports, government, or critical infrastructure environments

•   Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery planning

•   Experience with managed services or 24x7 operations environments
