Network Support
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN networks across corporate and remote sites.
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Manage and monitor network performance, availability, and security using monitoring and log management tools (e.g., OpManager, Syslog).
- Conduct network capacity planning, security assessments, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies.
- Perform system upgrades, firmware updates, and patch management for network devices.
- Support and coordinate with security teams for ISO, PCI, and SAS audits, including documentation and remediation.
- Conduct vulnerability scans using tools such as Nessus and implement corrective actions.
- Manage endpoint protection systems (e.g., McAfee EPO) to ensure endpoint security compliance.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure optimal performance and high network availability.
- Document network diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting guides in a centralized repository.
Knowledge & Experience Requirements
- Proven experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Cisco switches and routers.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, VPN configuration, and firewall management.
- Experience with network monitoring and log management tools.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting and performance optimization experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to research, evaluate, and implement new network technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP (minimum CCNA required).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network administration and support.
- Experience with cloud networking (Microsoft Azure, M365) is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to remote sites or client locations when required.
- Availability to perform after-hours network maintenance or emergency support when necessary.
