Role Purpose
Oversee the accurate booking, processing, and reconciliation of transactions between the front office and back office.
Ensure compliance with AML, sanctions, and eligibility checks, and contribute to maintaining smooth and efficient operational processes.
Planning and Strategy
Contribute to the review and improvement of the Middle Office's operational processes and ensure adherence to organizational policies.
Work with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, focusing on minimizing errors and optimizing transaction processes.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Ensure all transactions are accurately booked, processed, and reconciled between front office and back office, maintaining adherence to all policies and regulations.
Perform first-line AML and sanctions compliance checks, ensuring that transactions are compliant with regulations and approved limits.
Flag deviations in transactions and application errors promptly to the Operations Head for resolution.
Coordinate with relationship managers, and other departments, for timely follow-up and issue resolution.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement changes.
Contribute to regular performance reviews and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
Policies, Processes, and Procedures
Contribute to the preparation of policies and procedures regarding the Middle Office function.
Ensure all transaction screening and processing procedures adhere to ATFP's regulatory requirements and operational guidelines.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless transaction flows and compliance checks.
General Accountabilities
Supervise and support junior officers, ensuring accurate transaction handling and adherence to standards.
Provide guidance on transaction issues and process optimizations.
Report to senior management on the status of transactions and any potential issues impacting operational efficiency.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent
7+ years of experience in middle office operations or related fields
Fluency in Arabic and English
Experience in Trade Finance or similar financial products
Strong communication and leadership skills
