Job Purpose:
The Structural Designer is responsible for developing offshore structural 3D models and engineering drawings to support the design and execution of offshore oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D structural models and engineering drawings using SmartPlant 3D (S3D) and SmartSketch.
- Prepare material take-offs (MTOs) and material requisitions.
- Perform 3D model reviews and clash detection.
- Model and detail offshore structures such as jackets, topsides, platforms, helidecks, bridges, and equipment supports.
- Review vendor drawings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support projects during Concept, FEED, EPC, and EPIC phases.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of offshore structural design experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Proficient in SmartPlant 3D (S3D) and SmartSketch
- Experience with E3D, PDMS, AutoCAD, and other structural design software.
- Strong knowledge of offshore structural modelling, drawing production, and material take-offs.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with BOCAD is an advantage.
