Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior OpenText ITOM Engineer role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Senior OpenText ITOM Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining OpenText IT Operations Management solutions to support enterprise infrastructure and application monitoring. Daily responsibilities include configuring and optimizing ITOM tools, troubleshooting complex performance and availability issues, and ensuring high reliability and scalability of monitoring environments. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams, creating documentation and standards, and contributing to automation and continuous improvement initiatives. The engineer will also mentor junior team members, participate in incident and problem management, and support upgrades, integrations, and enhancements of OpenText ITOM platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in OpenText ITOM (and related IT operations management tools), including design, configuration, and administration.
• Solid background in infrastructure and application monitoring, performance tuning, and incident/problem management.
• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Shell) to streamline monitoring, alerts, and reporting.
• Knowledge of IT service management frameworks and practices (e.g., ITIL) and enterprise IT environments (servers, networks, cloud).
• Advanced troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues independently.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional technical teams.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation, standards, and best practices for ITOM solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications in OpenText, ITOM, or ITIL are an advantage.
• Previous experience in a senior or lead engineering role supporting large-scale, mission-critical IT environments.
• Willingness to work on-site in Alexandria, Egypt and support occasional after-hours or weekend activities for critical operations.
