Role Description The Senior Operations Manager – Agricultural Operations is a full-time, on-site role based at SEKEM's headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. The role oversees end-to-end agricultural operations across SEKEM's network of farms, ensuring alignment with organic and biodynamic standards, productivity goals, and sustainability targets. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and monitoring crop production, coordinating logistics from farm to processing facilities, and optimizing resource use such as water, soil inputs, and equipment. The Senior Operations Manager leads and mentors farm and field teams, implements operational policies and procedures, and collaborates with quality, supply chain, and sustainability teams to meet regulatory requirements and market demands. The role also involves performance tracking, reporting on key operational metrics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that support SEKEM's social and environmental mission.

Qualifications

• Strong agricultural operations management skills, including farm planning, crop production oversight, and resource optimization.
• Experience with organic and/or biodynamic farming practices, sustainability standards, and environmental compliance.
• Leadership abilities to manage multidisciplinary teams, foster collaboration, and build capacity among farm and field staff.
• Operational planning, budgeting, and analytical skills to interpret data, track KPIs, and implement process improvements.
• Solid understanding of supply chain and logistics in agricultural contexts, from farm production to processing and distribution.
• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Farm Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a senior operations role within agriculture or food production; experience in regional or multi-farm settings is a plus.
