Job Description

Core Role: A hands-on technical expert responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and high-availability of mission-critical Oracle database ecosystems, with a mandatory focus on real-time data replication.

Key Highlights:

Mandatory Specialization: Deep, hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate (Classic & Microservices) for replication design, management, and troubleshooting is a non-negotiable requirement.

Core Technologies: Expertise across the full Oracle stack, including Exadata, ExaCC/Cloud@Customer, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lifecycle management (install, patch, upgrade) of Oracle databases (11g to 23c) in complex environments.
  2. Advanced performance tuning using SQL/PL/SQL optimization and diagnostic tools (AWR/ASH).
  3. Ensuring high availability and disaster recovery via Data Guard and robust backup strategies.
  4. Designing, implementing, and managing GoldenGate replication across hybrid and multi-cloud setups.
  5. Managing and monitoring Exadata infrastructure.
  6. Cloud integration and automation using OCI, Terraform, and Ansible.

Experience Required: 7-12 years in enterprise/government settings, supporting high-transaction systems.

Critical Skills:

  • Technical: Expert-level Oracle and GoldenGate skills, strong Linux/shell scripting.
  • Soft Skills: Analytical, able to work under pressure in 24x7 environments, with strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Certifications: Oracle OCP is a mandatory advantage; GoldenGate and Exadata certifications are highly preferred.
  • Success Metrics (KPIs): Measured on system uptime, replication lag, incident resolution time, successful disaster recovery tests, and patching compliance.
