Senior Pharmacist

Role Description The Senior Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm El Maadi, responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring safe dispensing of medications. The role includes reviewing and validating prescriptions, counseling patients on proper medication use, side effects, and drug interactions, and maintaining accurate patient and inventory records. The Senior Pharmacist will supervise junior pharmacy staff, support their development, and ensure adherence to professional, legal, and safety standards. Additional responsibilities include managing stock levels, monitoring expiry dates, coordinating with suppliers, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives and customer service excellence.
Qualifications

• Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, including pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions.
• Proficiency in prescription review, medication dispensing, and patient counseling.
• Experience in inventory management, stock control, and pharmacy systems or software.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
• Leadership abilities in supervising teams, mentoring staff, and coordinating workflows.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to patient safety.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Pharmacy from an accredited institution; valid pharmacist license in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Previous experience in a community or retail pharmacy setting, ideally in a senior or supervisory capacity.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Familiarity with local healthcare regulations and ethical standards in pharmaceutical practice.
