Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Backend PHP Engineer to join our dynamic, forward-thinking engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex business logic and high-performance technical architecture. With 5+ years of hands-on experience, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable web applications, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Architect, write, and deploy clean, well-documented, and production-ready PHP code based on complex business requirements.
- Participate actively in requirements analysis and software design. Research and integrate emerging technologies to keep our tech stack modern and efficient.
- Troubleshoot, test, and optimize core product software and databases to ensure maximum speed, scalability, and uptime.
- Conduct thorough functional and non-functional testing to ensure complete application integrity before deployment.
- Work seamlessly within Agile/Scrum cross-functional teams. Participate in technical presentations and align with stakeholders on project goals.
- Documentation, architecture diagrams, and handbooks to facilitate knowledge sharing across the team.
Technical Requirements:- Expert-level PHP and advanced MySQL (design & optimization) with strong experience in web application development and architecture.
- Strong proficiency in modern PHP frameworks, with Symfony highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of web services integration (REST, SOAP, XML, XSL) combined with JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
- Hands-on experience with Nginx, Apache servers and cloud deployment via AWS.
- Proficient with Git for version control and experienced in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira.
- Proven ability to produce clean, well-structured, and clearly documented code.
Qualifications & Soft Skills:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience, specifically focused on the PHP ecosystem and open-source platforms.
- A proven track record of diagnosing and solving complex, large-scale technical bottlenecks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and deadline-driven environment.
