Senior Physical Design Engineer

Description

We are seeking a Senior Physical Design Engineer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical design and a passion for developing high-performance integrated circuits. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation and optimization of complex IC designs, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement physical design methodologies for integrated circuits (ICs).
• Perform floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, and routing for high-performance designs.
• Work closely with the digital design team to ensure design specifications are met.
• Conduct timing analysis and perform design rule checking (DRC) and layout versus schematic (LVS) verification.
• Optimize designs for power, performance, and area (PPA).
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are suitable for fabrication.
• Utilize EDA tools for design implementation and verification.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-9 years of experience in physical design and implementation of digital circuits.
• Proficient in using industry-standard EDA tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, or Mentor Graphics.
• Strong understanding of IC design fundamentals, including RTL design, synthesis, and verification processes.
• Experience with timing analysis tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of DFM, DFT, and DVF techniques.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, or Python for automation.
