Senior Planning Engineer – Roads & Infrastructure

Job Summary
The Senior Planning Engineer develops, maintains, and analyzes master schedules for large-scale infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, tunnels, utilities). Working closely with Project and Construction Managers, you will ensure projects are accurately resource-loaded, monitored, and delivered using Primavera P6.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed, resource- and cost-loaded baseline schedules in Primavera P6.
- Progress & Resource Tracking: Track physical/financial progress against baselines, identify critical path variances, and manage resource histograms, S-curves, and cash flow.
- Delay Analysis & Claims: Perform forensic schedule analysis (e.g., Time Impact Analysis) and draft Extension of Time (EoT) claims and recovery schedules.
- Coordination & Integration: Align site execution, procurement, commercial, and engineering teams; integrate subcontractor schedules into the master plan.
- Reporting: Generate accurate progress reports, executive dashboards, and KPI metrics for stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 10–12+ years in civil construction planning, with 5+ years in a Senior Planning role.
- Sector Expertise: Proven track record in the UAE managing large-scale roads, highways, earthworks, bridges, tunnels, and wet/dry utility networks.
- Software: Expert in Primavera P6 and MS Excel (MS Project, Power BI, or 4D BIM/Navisworks are strong advantages).
Key Competencies
- Deep knowledge of heavy civil construction sequencing, production rates, and logistics.
- Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and their impact on timelines and claims.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to present complex data clearly under pressure.
