Senior Planning Engineer

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Planning you will take ownership of program development, progress measurement, performance analysis, and delay management across high-rise tower projects (G+20+).

You will work closely with construction, commercial, and engineering teams to ensure projects remain on schedule and commercially protected.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, review, and maintain detailed baseline programmes using Primavera P6

Prepare WBS structures aligned with construction sequencing for high-rise towers

Conduct resource and cost loading of programmes

Monitor critical path and proactively identify risks and delays

Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports

Perform Earned Value Analysis (EVM), including SPI, CPI, and productivity trends

Support recovery planning and acceleration strategies

Conduct delay analysis (Extension of Time claims support where required)

Interface with commercial teams on claims and variations

Present programme updates to client and consultant teams

Coordinate with site teams to validate progress and productivity

Requirements

Degree in Engineering

7+ years experience with reputable main contractors

Proven experience on high-rise tower projects (G+20+) in the UAE

Advanced Primavera P6 expertise (baseline development, cost loading, critical path analysis)

Strong understanding of Earned Value Management principles

Experience in delay analysis and EOT preparation preferred

Strong analytical and reporting skills

UAE experience essential
