We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join a growing startup consultancy in Dubai. This role is ideal for a planning professional who thrives in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments and wants to make a significant impact from the ground up. You'll work across diverse construction and infrastructure projects, providing planning expertise to clients throughout the UAE and wider Middle East region.
As a key member of our team, you'll manage planning deliverables, contribute to establishing our planning methodologies, and support the development of our capabilities as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project across all project phases
- Establish baseline schedules, critical paths, and milestone tracking frameworks
- Perform schedule analysis, progress monitoring, and variance reporting
- Conduct delay analysis and time impact assessments
- Prepare planning reports, progress dashboards, and presentations for clients and stakeholders
- Participate in planning meetings and workshops with project teams, contractors, and clients
- Review contractor schedules for logic, constructability, and compliance
- Support integration of planning activities with cost control and risk management functions
- Contribute to the development of planning standards, templates, and procedures
- Support proposal development and business development activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 6-8 years of planning experience in construction or infrastructure projects
- At least 2-3 years of Middle East experience, preferably in the UAE
- Experience on projects valued at AED 300M+
- Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Solid understanding of CPM scheduling techniques and delay analysis methodologies
- Experience with at least two project types: high-rise, mixed-use, infrastructure, hospitality, or industrial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Good commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders
