An international engineering and construction organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Manager to join its growing team in Riyadh. About the Role
The Senior Planning Manager will lead all project planning and scheduling activities from pre-construction through to project completion.
Responsibilities
- Lead all project planning and scheduling activities from pre-construction through to project completion.
- Develop, maintain and manage integrated project schedules across multiple disciplines.
- Implement and manage Earned Value Management (EVM) processes to monitor project performance, progress and forecast outcomes.
- Provide schedule analysis, critical path assessments and recovery plans where required.
- Produce accurate progress reports and present project performance to senior leadership and clients.
- Work closely with project management, engineering, procurement and construction teams to ensure programme alignment.
- Identify schedule risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies to support successful project delivery.
- Mentor and develop planning teams while driving planning best practice across projects.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of planning experience on large-scale engineering or construction projects.
- Proven experience as a Senior Planning Manager or Planning Manager on complex, multidisciplinary building projects.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Advanced Primavera P6 experience is essential.
- Excellent understanding of planning methodologies, project controls and schedule risk analysis.
- Previous experience working for a recognised main contractor is highly desirable.
- Experience delivering mission critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or other technically complex construction projects would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
