Job Title:

Senior Planning & Programs Analyst

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Planning & Programs Analyst to lead financial planning, performance analysis, compliance, and budgeting activities. This role is critical in supporting leadership through high-quality reporting, strategic insights, and effective financial governance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), audit oversight, and financial operations, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and complex organizational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement multi-year financial plans in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Deliver forecasting models, scenario analyses, and financial insights for executive leadership.

2. Budgeting & Financial Reporting

  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets across departments.
  • Produce accurate, timely financial reports, statements, and presentations for leadership and governance bodies.

3. Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with international and local accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Oversee internal controls, audit coordination, and risk management processes.

4. Resource & Fund Management

  • Manage restricted and unrestricted funds, donor contributions, and grant allocations.
  • Monitor cash flow, funding utilization, and long-term reserve planning.

5. Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide leadership to finance team members and cross-functional planning initiatives.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on financial decision-making.

6. Operational Excellence

  • Drive implementation of financial systems and process improvements.
  • Oversee procurement, contract management, and financial risk mitigation practices.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required).
  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.

Certifications (Required at least one):

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
  • CMA (Certified Management Accountant)
  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
  • Or recognized regional equivalent

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, including:
  • Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
  • Budget oversight and control
  • Preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Audit coordination and compliance management
